A Pre-Planning meeting provides you with the opportunity to consider the wide range of options available in funeral planning today. This meeting can take place in the comfort and privacy of our premises, or alternatively at your home whichever is more convenient for you.
Your preferences for your funeral will be recorded and the costs calculated at the time of the meeting. You can leave this arrangement with our funeral director and be assured that when the time comes, all your personal details and preferences for your funeral will be carried out according to your wishes.
Pre-planning a funeral means that you choose the type and style of funeral service you want and decide how much you want to invest in advance.
Some people feel comfortable about leaving this responsibility to the family, while others prefer to be a little more organised by planning and even paying for their funeral ahead of time.

Pre-Paid Funerals
The FDANZ Funeral Trust is a pre-paid funeral plan available through members of the Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand Inc (FDANZ) and is managed by Gallagher Bassett.
Gallagher Bassett is the largest multi-disciplinary third party claims Administrator in New Zealand. They have more than 10 years experience in providing management and day to day administration services for insurers, brokers and government bodies – including the Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand (FDANZ) Funeral Trust.
The Funeral Directors Association of New Zealand (FDANZ) is an Association representing the majority of the funeral companies in New Zealand. They are committed to ensuring that the families they serve are receiving high quality service. Its members arrange and direct over 80% of all funerals in New Zealand. A pre-paid funeral organised through the FDANZ Funeral Trust is a secure way to pre-plan your funeral or that of another family member. The FDANZ Funeral Trust is not an insurance policy. No health checks or personal questions are needed.
A pre-paid funeral through the FDANZ Funeral Trust will give you peace of mind knowing that your wishes regarding your funeral are documented and the financial burden has been addressed.
Security of funds – the money that you pay now for your pre-arranged funeral is held in Trust for the nominated participant in the FDANZ Funeral Trust.
Interest accumulated is tax-paid and does not affect any pension or superannuation you receive.
Up to $10,000 in a pre-paid funeral plan is excluded from asset testing (under current government policy) when assessing eligibility for a subsidy for long term residential care for the elderly.
